U'kesh Nunh

"The tribe is my family. Sure we get into fights, but at the end of the day, we all gather around the fire to eat, drink, and laugh together!" -U'kesh

About

U'kehsh Nunh, frequently rendered as U'kesh by non-Miqo'te speakers, is a twenty-nine-year-old Seeker of the Sun and reigning patriarch of a minor tribe-aligned sept of Drake Tribe located in the southern reaches of the Sagolii Desert.U'kesh serves as the acting Nunh and chieftain, overseeing tribal law, diplomacy, and territorial defense for his domain. He regularly convenes leadership assemblies in a chamber he terms the Hall of Judgement, or withdraws to his private chambers to manage internal affairs of governance, supply coordination, and inter-tribe correspondence. Before the Final Days, U'kesh led his sept on frequent hunting expeditions across territorial dunes, water routes, and oasis perimeters. He maintained intermittent diplomatic relations with neighboring desert tribes and participated in multiple skirmishes and territorial battles typical of tribal defense doctrine.During extended periods of calm, U'kesh was known to make supply runs to the trade city of Ul'dah, operating with discretion due to a prior engagement that escalated tensions between his sept and the brass-armored enforcers known as the Brass Blades.Following the trespass of a mounted patrol from the Brass Blades’ auxiliary division, U'kesh’s sept staged a retaliatory ambush resulting in the patrol’s elimination. No confirmed bounty was issued, owing to absent testimony and unverifiable evidence, yet the incident necessitated heightened caution during travel within Ul’dahn jurisdiction.Moons before the onset of the Final Days, unknown aetheric towers manifested across the continent, including within the Sagolii Desert. In response, U'kehsh mobilized his tribe for defensive operations and humanitarian relief. Records indicate this was the sole documented occasion in which he cooperated directly with the grand company of Ul’dah, the Immortal Flames, as well as accredited Beast Tribe combat auxiliaries authorized through wartime alliance pacts.During the immediate prelude to the Final Days, U'kesh enacted full territorial lockdown. Passage through borders required authorization from the native Tribal Council, with governance oversight maintained internally by U'kesh. He increased ranger patrols along his perimeter, monitoring for aberrant entities, void-touched abominations, and unnatural phenomena confirmed through external intelligence. The sept suffered no confirmed incursions.Chroniclers note that his tribe’s relative isolation mitigated exposure to the psychological contagion of widespread despair. Only upon receipt of verified communications from allied Miqo’te leadership in the settlement known as the Forgotten Spring did the council resume external engagement. Even then, evacuation from tribal territory remained rare, and none traveled beyond the Sagolii Desert for several moons thereafter. In the present era, U'kehsh resumes external operations, attending supply negotiations, inter-tribe diplomacy, and reconnaissance beyond his homeland. He retains command authority and is once more publicly sighted outside of jurisdictional tribal borders.

Thoughts

The Drake Tribe

"The Drake Tribe has come a long way from a collection of tents out in the Sagolii, though there is still work to be done. If the tribe is to survive, we need to become strong enough to take out our enemies."

Azeyma The Warden

"I should be more grateful that the Warden has allowed me to survive this long, I must be doing something right. As cruel as she can be, I still love her and I would not be where I am without her blessings."

Children of The Sands

"As much as I miss my brothers and sisters, they have allowed outsiders onto their lands. A poor mistake, one that I hope does not cost them their identity."

The Immortal Flames

"Puppets of the Syndicate, all of them. While the Flame General's motivations may be noble, he answers to a government that is filled with corruption. If they had their way, they would own all of the Sagolii and push us tribals from our homes."

Void Magic

"An abomination to our mother Azeyma. Those that practice Void Magic shall be purged by the flames of our mother."

Blood Magic

"Simply put, blood magic is unnatural and always comes at a cost. I do not trusts those that practice such arts, nor will I allow them to do so on my lands."

Black/White Magic

"I do not know much about either forms of magic except that the city states outlaw such arts. Until I learn more about these magics, I cannot properly judge those that practice them."

Blue Magic

"What in the hells is blue magic?"
